Leptospermum Copper Sheen - Potting Trial
The plant on the left demonstrates the superior growth achieved with the FibreGro® based potting mix after just 16 weeks. Both plants were potted simultaneously, kept in identical environments, and followed the same watering and fertilisation schedule. The plant grown in the FibreGro® based medium exhibited significantly better results, showing more evenly distributed lateral branches optimised for sunlight capture, and grew to a height that was over 20% taller. The FibreGro® based mix was also 25% lighter to lift than the control media.

FibreGro®'s performance in the field was reviewed by a wholesale nursery grower.
After just 7 months several notable observations were made:
FibreGro® had a greater number of larger leader roots visible
FibreGro®'s roots were thicker and penetrated all the way to the bottom
FibreGro® had an increased presence of capillary and fine roots, enabling the plant to absorb the maximum amount of water
FibreGro®'s medium was a lot lighter to work with, meaning: Reduced physical strain on staff, due to easier handling and relocation of plants; Streamlined logistical processes, potentially lowering of labour costs and overall efficiency; Superior drainage capabilities.
FibreGro® deomonstrated potential for enhanced machine efficiency in potting processes due to reduced compaction issues compared to bark-based soils
Ecological and economic, coir/peat alternative
Exceptional air-filled porosity, promoting optimal root development and activity
Excellent water holding capacity for improved irrigation efficiency
Superior drainage capabilities – contributing significantly to root health by reducing pathogen pressure from waterborne disease spores
Consistent pH levels
Naturally hydrophilic, enabling easy rewetting abilities
Inert and weed-free
Lightweight for easy transportation
